Of the 27 questionnaires (with S.A.E.'s) we have so far received 10 back. They are:

All that have replied believe that the target for journeys to be made by bike should be at least 10%
One believes that the council should spend at least 50p per person on cycling, 4 think at least £ 1.00. 3 had no opinion or did not have enough information.
Barry Macroe and Keith Pate cycled occasionally, others only cycled rarely or not at all, only 4 had a bike.
Deborah Porter has been a firm supporter of the Five Arches project since the beginning.
Shirley Steel's reply included efforts being done for cycling in the area: the extention to Tesco's of the Greenway and the support for our project at Five Arches, cycle stands and pavements, cycling at Somervale School.
Gail Coleshill reply included a request to be informed about our Five Arches project
Mike Boulton suggest a travel allowance for 2 wheelers.
All believed cycling would benefit the environment and health and suggested various ways in improving cycling provision.
We will keep hold of these questionnaire and wait and see how our new councillors can help us in providing better facilties and encourage cycling and walking in the Norton Radstock Area. We are grateful for the support we have received so far.
